Pokemon 25th Anniversary McDonalds Cards
In case you missed our post last week, McDonalds is helping Pokemon celebrate their 25th Anniversary!
Starting February 9th and running until March 9th (or while supplies last), McDonalds has Pokemon themed Happy Meals! There are AT LEAST FOUR different packs that you can get, each one containing a randomized 4 card booster pack with one holofoil and 3 non-foil cards. While the packs are random, the items that you get in each of the packs will be based on the individual numbered envelope you get. Interestingly enough, we have personally gotten different artwork on the #2 packs so far, one with a blue background and another with a black background. (EDIT: upon opening these, we determined that the different color determines the different puzzle in each pack).
The following cards are available as both non-holo and holofoil.
As Collector's Corner Inc has always been about building our community and being a place where like minded people could meet up, we want to offer up a way to trade Pokemon cards to help you complete your sets without having to resort to paying the crazy places on E-Bay! Unfortunately, we are still closed to the public, so this will require a bit more work on your end, and us all to stay honest and respectful. If you have extras that you are looking to trade, place a comment down below in the following format:
Extra: Pokemon (H/NH) Need: Pokemon (H/NH) City where you live
Extra: Pikachu (NH), Squirtle (H) Need: Snivy (H), Scorbunny (NH) in Midland
meaning that you have an extra Non-Holo Pikachu and Holo Squirtle that you want to trade, that you're looking for a Holo Snivy and Non-Holo Scorbunny and that you live in Midland.
Now as I said before, this is going to require a lot of things, including being safe. While I hope that no one would take advantage of another, I am realistic, and do not anyone to lose out, or be hurt. When meeting to do a trade, do it in public, during the day, know who you are meeting, when and what the trade will be PRIOR to meeting. Condition is important to most collectors, so please make sure you share pictures of the cards so that everyone knows what to expect. We cannot be responsible for anything that happens during any transactions that you set up, so please be safe. The Midland Police Department Parking Lot is an example of a place to do any meet ups to trade items.
Many of these cards have been selling for a lot of money on the secondary market, and if you choose to try to SELL cards, not trade card for card, then please do so on a monitored site like Ebay or at a physical location like Game On, which has stores in Midland, Saginaw and Mount Pleasant.
Please be sure to watch our unboxing videos to check out all the great product that is available in this Pokemon 25th Anniversary McDonald's Promotion! Happy hunting and as they say, Gotta Catch'em all!
EDIT: 2/14/21: Pokemon Company Internation made the announcement earlier this week that they are aware of the issues with getting not only these cards, but also many Pokemon Trading Cards. They are working on ramping up production to their maximum to keep up with demand. They also announced that the official policy was to have individual restaurants limit the number of Happy Meals that can be bought at one time and that they cannot be sold separately. Please be cautious of paying high prices for these cards, as prices MAY drop IF supply matches or exceeds demand.
